Birat Laxmi Bikash Bank was established under the company Act, 2063 and under Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2063 and licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank as “B” class financial institution or as a development bank. It is the first development bank of Eastern Development Region. Biratlaxmi Bikas Bank Ltd. has ten districts working area Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Threhathum, Saptari and Udayapur of Koshi, Mechi and Sagarmatha zone.
Its head office is at Biratnagar and branches are located at four districts of its operation. Now there are 17 offices including head office and one extension counter. It has been conducting financial activities as per the regulation of Nepal Rastra Bank like accepting deposit, providing credit, Remittance, and other banking activities. Biratlaxmi promises to increase new banking technologies in operation according to the demand of customers.
