JOB DESCRIPTION :
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies from a recognized university,
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in related field especially in local level coordination, program
    organizing and reporting,
  • Good knowledge of computer operations and having command over written and spoken English and Nepali languages.
  • Based in Central and Western Development Regions with frequent travels to program districts.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :

This position is responsible to work closely with the target brick industries and focal NGOs assisting the industry to
comply the social standards, and work to manage and coordinate for the training and other activities under Better
Brick Nepal (BBN) Program.
Duration: Two years
Age: 25‐40 years

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Work in close coordination with target brick industries, and focal organization/focal person of BBN project,
  • Ensure logistics management as per required for trainings, audits and other visits,
  • Collect details information of identified child laborers, their family condition and their associated problems whenever required,
  • Create data base of identified child laborers, young workers and work for child labor remediation,
  • Visit the source villages of unaccompanied children to collect detail family information and analyze the possible and appropriate way for remediation,  
  • Regular monitoring of children and families associated to brick industries who are in long term support of NGF,
  • Regular follow up with school or other institutions to monitor the academic progress of the supported children, and reporting to concerned authority,  
  • Coordinate with partner NGOs, local government authorities for child labor prevention and rehabilitation in program districts, such as the DCWB,
  • Ensure the logistics management for child labor rehabilitation activities including sponsorship and psycho‐social counseling,
  • Develop the activities plan and handle the expenses and financial settlements and carry out other activities as and when necessary.
  • Position reports to Program Manager of BBN project.
